Hi,

Thanks for the guidance. I can see the olsr running but fail to detect any nodes. 

I have actually setup a network with ssid "manet". My ipaq is able to detect the "manet" network but cannot ping to the other nodes which is also on the "manet" network. Any idea why is this so?

I discovered that my thread does not continue with my previous ones on the http://www.olsr.org/pipermail/olsr-users/2005-August/thread.html. Very sorry for that. How can I continue from there?

"detattching from the current process..." means that olsrd is running in
the background. You should be able to see that it is still running doing
something like "ps -A | grep olsrd", by checking the routing table/daemon
log and by communicating with possible plugins etc.
To make olsrd run in the foreground change the DebugLevel in your
configuration to 1.
