"detattching from the current process..." means that olsrd is running in
the background. You should be able to see that it is still running doing
something like "ps -A | grep olsrd", by checking the routing table/daemon
log and by communicating with possible plugins etc.
To make olsrd run in the foreground change the DebugLevel in your
configuration to 1.
