Yes thats correct.

I used the default olsrd configuration file that comes with your branch.

my default route section looks like:

# HNA IPv4 routes
# syntax: netaddr netmask
# Example Internet gateway:
# 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

Hna4
{
#   Internet gateway:
   0.0.0.0      0.0.0.0
#   more entries can be added:
#   192.168.1.0  255.255.255.0
}

Apologies but I do not have the entire olsrd.conf file as I overwrote 
it when I went back to olsr 5.5
