[Olsr-users] No neighbor routes in 0.5.4

I am running the 0.5.4 version in a two node network with TC_REDUNDANCY 
set to 0 to reduce the amount of TC messages that are transmitted. The two 
nodes see each other as symmetric neighbors but routes are never added to 
the routing table. 

According to the RFC, this configuration (i.e., neighbor nodes with no 
MPRs and no TC messages being sent; HELLOs only) should result in each 
node having a route to the other. Indeed, this worked in 0.4.10 version of 
olsrd.

Does anyone know of a bug or issue in version 0.5.4 that would cause this 
behaviour?
