Hi,

Some days ago I started out writing a network simulator, well - it's
more of a "message router", for olsrd. Olsrd can now run in a
"host-emulation" mode that allows it to connect to the olsr_switch which
is the simulator. Multiple olsrd instances can run on the same box
and connect to the olsr_switch creating a virtual network. In
olsr_switch the user can modify all uni-directional links in various
ways and hence simulate all topologies.

The code is somewhat usable now and should be ready for small-scale
testing by those who find this sort of thing interesting. Read more at:
http://www.olsr.org/docs/README-Olsr-Switch.html
If you are doing research or development related to olsrd you might find
this very usefull.

olsr_switch only runs on GNU/Linux and FreeBSD systems(not tested
on other unices), and of cause, the code only exists in CVS for now, but
it will be part of 0.4.10.

A nice weekend to you all!

- Andreas
