It's not about VLANs, it's about any type of interface - just with the same IP
address.

For example I'd like to have my network look like:

[ router 1 - 10.1.0.1 ] --- clients 10.1.0.0/16
     |
[ router 2 - 10.2.0.1 ] --- clients 10.2.0.0/16
     |
[ router 3 - 10.3.0.1 ] --- clients 10.3.3.0/24
     | | \
     | | \ --- clients 10.3.15.0/24
     | \
     | \ [ router 4 - 10.4.0.1 ] --- clients 10.4.0.1/16
     |
[ router 5 - 10.5.0.1 ] --- clients 10.5.42.0/24
