[OLSR-users] More bridge weirdness - SOLUTION

smartBridges provides the clue to the answer to my bridging problem here:

After a certain firmware revision, airBridgePro devices are no longer 
true transparent bridges.  sB recognizes that this breaks certain 
implementations, and makes a downrev firmware available to return the 
bridge to transparent mode.  After I performed the downgrade, all of the 
routing problems I described earlier suddenly and completely went away.

Bottom line:  it is possible to use smartBridges airBridge pro units 
with OLSR, provided you use the appropriate downrev firmware.  I'm not 
associated with smartBridges at all, but I use quite a bit of thier 
gear, and I've been extremely happy with the durability of their outdoor 
products.
