Months ago in Athens I suggested to simply declare

CP_I:=cp -i

and then use

- -$(CP_I) files/olsrd.conf.default.lq $(CFGFILE)

in the Makefile, this would've allowed OpenWrt and other potential
downstream users to simply pass CP_I="true" or CP_I="cp -f" to make,
without the need for any patching.
