I think that's the problem with all plugins which are developed
outside the OLSR main repository. They get discontinued and after some
time the are not compatible with new OLSR versions anymore.

The easiest way would be to have a look at the "mini" Plugin in the
/lib directory of olsrd. It contains the necessary code wrapper for a
0.5.6 plugin including some basic parameter parsing.
