yes, you are right.
it says
/usr/local/etc/olsrd.conf

hm, I compiled with PREFIX=/usr ...
Still /usr/local/etc is the default.

ok, I will compare. I agree the the trick with the broadcast addr  
255^4 does not work on the BSDs
