Not if olsrd is distributed in a firmware or package, if the maintainer 
provides a customized config. Howver, one can not provide a customized 
config for subnets.

I thought of this, however, I am afraid people will simply rely upon 
these and it might result in many people pinging the same IPs 
frequently (these IPs might not like this, and block some people, 
maybe)

But then one does not test for internet connectivity but for internet 
connectivity _and_ a working DNS.
