Difficult to say...

one nasty thing I discovered a few days ago is that there is no
"atomic route replacement" for IPv6 with "not recent kernels"... I
know the problem is there with current Debian Stable, but not with
current Ubuntu. I am working on fixing the issue, but its a bit
complicated.

but it means the kernel version might be important too at the moment.
