After removing the DROP-Rule for Port 698, the routes come back.
Installing the DROP-Rule again, the same behavior was noticed.

After restarting OLSR on Node (B) the DROP-Rule (add / del) did work 
without problems. The behavior was gone ?!?! That is really strange.
