[Olsr-users] Creating an Ad-Hoc network for OLSR using Android phone?

Greetings,

We're looking to set up a peer-to-peer communication test lab (for
running OLSRd) using android phones (Currently using several Samsung
Nexus S phones running 2.3.4).

The problem we're currently facing is that, in looking to be purely
peer-to-peer (e.g. phone-only with no central infrastructure) we
cannot get the phones to *create* an ad-hoc network. We've done the
googling and set up the wpa_supplicant.conf files to *join* ad-hoc
networks (e.g. created on a laptop) however, we cannot get the phones
to create ad-hoc networks themselves.

I'm wondering if anybody else has run in to this issue on Android before?

Has there been any prior work towards using OLSRd for a mobile mesh network?

Thanks,
     Aaron
