Dear all members,
I have been working on mesh boxs recently. I use four Linksys WRT54GLs for my mesh boxes and they have been flashed with freifunk firmware 1.6.37 version. I have already configured all the boxes based on "Do It Your Self guide to planning and guiding freifunk based mesh network from Meraka Institute" for mesh application. As I am curious to open the olsr.config file using vi edittor I tried to modify the config file according to information I got from the mailing list members. The problem is when I restart the router I already modified, the config file still stays the same as before. There was no any changes in the config file. The reason I do this modification in olsr config file is because I want to know what happen to my router if I change or add the intefaces, put some more lines etc. The main goal of this mesh network project is to provide internet conectivity to a certain remote area. Therefore I need anybody to teach and show me how to do to
solve the followings, please:
1. How to reboot my mesh box after editting in order to have the already modified olsr config file still stay in the router permanently ?
2. As I intend to use one of the mesh boxes for internet gateway, Do I have to modify the olsr config file again and how to do that?
3. I can ping the gateway address but I still can not open the web (HTTP Url address). Please teach me..
4. I have tried also to use AP flashed with DD-WRT for internet access, but still not working at all..
Thak you in advanced
Best Regards,
Sutrisno
