I'm pretty sure I tested IPv6 with the current stable in my virtual machines. 
Can you add do two additional things ?

1.) post the output of "ip addr" on both of the devices
2.) run a "tcpdump -i <olsr-device> -n -s 0 -vv port 698" on one of the 
devices for a few seconds and post the output here

This might help to track down the problem, so we can fix it and release a 
0.6.1 version.
