[Olsr-users] Need to setup the -OLSR-live video- demo with 4-5 Computers

olsr will do so as u wanted, but,..
.
but it needs to loose several hello messages till link costs raise enough to
take the other (initially quite longer) route
so the hello interval must be about 1/10 of the reaction time you want to
reach (=RT)
.
furthermore the changes need to be reported to all nodes, so the tc interval
must be about 1/5 of RT
.
next all nodes must process (and forward) the messages very fast, so the
polling interval should be around 1/10 of RT
.
and finally all nodes must recalculate their routing very fast, so the
dijktra limit (minimal interval) must be at least 1/2 of rt
.
one hint if your setup is only a-b-c-a, and u want to stream between a and
c, and u drop the link c-a, it will react faster, as the alteernative path
is shorter/cheaper than your intended setup,...
regards Markus
p.s. abovenumbers are only good guesses from my side, so please report your
experience with them, or maybe henning will write a mail as he knows more
about fast reacting olsr setups than me
