Hmm, your previous mail gave me some hope, but this doesn't seem
different from what I know.  The thread is about supporting ad-hoc
mode on .11n hardware, not about ad-hoc mode at .11n rates.

>From what I had gathered, .11n hardware does support ad-hoc, but only
at .11g rates.  It was my impression that while block ack might be
supported in ad-hoc, neither MIMO (``beam-forming'') nor fat channels
are supported in ad-hoc mode.

Now block ack is good to take, and should have a significant effect in
mesh networks, but it is not much different from what .11e already offers.

Once again, this is all merely hearsay, and I'd love to be proved wrong.
