[OLSR-users] No retransmissions over same interface under Windows

Hi,

My previous post seemed to get lost in the html parser of the mailing list
server, so I am trying again...

It seems that under the Windows port of OLSRD (olsr Switch), retransmitting
on the interface from which a packet is received does not work.

I have three hosts, all on one ethernet hub. The central host (running
Mickeysoft Windows) is seeing two Debian Linux hosts. The Debian hosts can
see the Windows host, but not each other (using "iptables -A INPUT -m
mac --mac-source XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX -j DROP"). All three hosts are running
olsrd. In this configuration I would expect the windows host to re-transmit
the packets going from one Debian host to the other. However this does not
happen, even though I can see both Debain hosts in the windows routing
table. I sniffed the ethernet packets and could see that the Debian hosts
are correctly transmitting their traffic to the windows host. However, no
retransmission by Windows.

What is wrong? Is this a 'feature' of windows? Have I missed something?

grtz,
Erik
