[OLSR-users] question about rounting base on link quality

I run the olsrd with "-llinfo" that can show link quality about neighbor
Howeve, I find that the quality value is vary rapidly and the data is totally different from neighbor ( I type "iwconfig" from neighbor machine to check ), 
and it sometime shows the quality is zero.
I want to decide the route according to these quality value, but the value is vary rapidly and not correct, what should I do??

Moreover, if I want to decide the route base on neighbor's wireless bit rate, what method or function I can use in order to get neighbor's bit rate to change the route??
