There are some outstanding patches in the OpenBSD port. Some of these
touch code shared with other platforms and would need some additional
work and testing before I could submit them. But there is one change
which is OpenBSD-specific, trivial to review, and quite useful:

  "allow use of an alternative routing table on OpenBSD"

If there is enough time left until the release is finalized, I hope this
patch could get merged.
