sure, we did not mange to "trick" bsd into accepting any ipip packets like
we do on linux,..
(as we have a unidirectional n:1 ipip tunnel (n =~ anyone) on the gateway
side)

but true smartgateway "clients" should work on bsd (they just need to setup
a standard ipip tunnel), we just did not implement them.
