IMHO this is to simple to make a new module 8-)
You are right, ofcourse this can be a module in
the long run...

I need this functionality for internal statistics how
often the routes a flapping. At the moment we
check this by a script each 60 seconds, but
i see by manually monitoring the default route,
that it changed much faster on some nodes...
(which can be a problem, if the link is much slower
e.g. tx=6mbit vs. 54mbit)
