Yay!

start by checking out trunk
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/collab-maint/deb-maint/olsrd/
You will see that I was working on 0.6.0 in May... and then stopped as some of
the patches didnt apply anymore and I had no time to resolve this. I have
commited this now as it is and unresolved, see debian/changelog for details.
And Henning (and everybody) please comment on the patches in
http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/collab-maint/deb-maint/olsrd/trunk/debian/patches/ -
I'd love to have zero ;-)
Then use svn-buildpackage to build from there. It will pick up the tarball
from ./tarballs/
cd trunk
svn-buildpackage
You should use a Debian sid chroot for developing. Whether you use Debian or
Ubuntu, its equally easy to create one:
debootstrap sid ./path/to/some/dir http://ftp.de.debian.org
chroot ./path/to/some/dir
# then inside the chroot
apt-get install build-essentials debhelper quilt bison flex svn-buildpackage
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/collab-maint/deb-maint/olsrd/
cd trunk
svn-buildpackage
# voila
Once you made it so far, we can continue from there :-) Good luck & have fun!
Is there an IRC channel you hang out at?
Last but not least: collab-maint is a repository on alioth.debian.org
where "anybody", not only Debian developers, can easily get an account. Just
follow the instructions to get one. Then apply to become a collab-maint
project member and then you can commit. I'd be happy to support you applying.
cheers,
Holger
