or to allow choosing a gateway by completely different criterias than other
olsr nodes (or their users) would do,..

but using the gateway that matches the ipv6 prefix of local packets, would
be possible with not too much changes afaik (all needed "library" functions
(tunnel creation, configuring policy rules, etc.) are imho already
available, "just" the logic (on the clients) is missing *G), and
smartgateways are already capable to announce an up to 64bit prefix on ipv6
olsr.

also you local devices must get their ipv6 prefixes from somewhere,..
