Sorry, I was not 100% precise. I meant that 1436 was the problem.
So - 0.5.6-rc6 is still OK in OS X.
Yes, basically the changes from Thomas Martin unintentionally
destroyed Mac OS X code.
Take out all changes from Thomas Martin and it will work.
