Hello,

I have recently studying routing protocols . Please let me know if there
is any other  mechanism except perodic hello messages and route timeout
(expiration) by which a routing protocol may come to know that the route
it has set in the IP table has broken . 

May be some thing like when data packet is not delivered then some signal
is sent or so...
