Hi all

At the begining of section 3 of RFC3626, when describing the OLSR header
message,
it is said :
> Furthermore, a node can examine the header of a message to obtain
> information on the distance (in terms of number of hops) to the
> originator of the message. This feature may be useful in situations
> where, e.g., the time information from a received control messages
> stored in a node depends on the distance to the originator.
I couldn't find in the rest of the RFC an example of a use of that Hop
Count.
As the length of a route is calculated by other means, I can't figure an
example for mixing time of message (Vtime) and hop count as it is
suggested here.

Did i miss a whole chapter in the RFC ? Any idea of using it ?

TIA

Laurent
